HUM Home LLC ("HUM," "we," "us," "our") is a household staffing company that helps families find and hire household staff including house managers, housekeepers, nannies, and personal assistants. We operate the websites humhome.co, hire.humhome.co, and related services.

Information We Collect

From Families (Clients)

• Contact information: name, email, phone number
• Household information: city, state, family composition, home details, other household staff
• Job preferences: role requirements, schedule, compensation range, management style
• Payment information: processed securely via Stripe
• Google Calendar data (if connected): free/busy status only — we do not read or store event titles, descriptions, attendees, or other event details

From Candidates

• Application information: name, email, phone number, zip code, resume
• Qualifying question responses
• Professional background: work history, skills, certifications, references
• Background check information (processed by third-party provider)

How We Use Your Information

• To match candidates with families based on qualifications and household needs
• To screen and evaluate candidate applications
• To communicate with you about your account, applications, and job opportunities
• To facilitate interview scheduling
• To process payments
• To send SMS messages about application status, interview scheduling, and recruitment-related updates (with your consent)

SMS/Text Messaging

By providing your phone number and opting in to text messages, you consent to receive job application status updates, interview scheduling notifications, recruitment-related communications, and position-related information for candidates who applied through our job board.

• Message Frequency: You may receive up to 5 messages per month related to your application status.
• Opt-Out: You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. You will receive a one-time confirmation that you have been unsubscribed. No further messages will be sent unless you re-opt-in. Opting out of SMS will not affect your job candidacy.
• Help: Reply HELP to any message for assistance, or contact us at support@humhome.co.
• Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier's standard messaging rates apply.
• We do not share your phone number or mobile information with third parties for marketing purposes.
• By opting in to SMS, you also agree to our Terms of Service regarding the handling of your mobile information.

Google Calendar Data

If you choose to connect your Google Calendar, we access only your free/busy status to suggest available interview time slots. Specifically:

• We only read whether a time slot is free or busy
• We do not read event titles, descriptions, locations, attendees, or any other event details
• We do not store your calendar data — it is queried in real-time and discarded after computing available slots
• We do not modify your calendar or create events without your explicit action
• You can disconnect your Google Calendar at any time from your account settings

Data Storage and Security

• All data is stored securely with encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest
• Payment data is handled entirely by Stripe — we never store credit card information
• Resumes and sensitive documents are stored in private, access-controlled storage
• Access to candidate data is restricted to authorized team members and the matched family

Data Sharing

We share your information only as follows:

• Candidate ↔ Family matching: When a candidate is shortlisted, their profile is shared with the hiring family. Candidate addresses are never shared until a background check clears.
• Service providers: Stripe (payments), Resend (email), Twilio (SMS), Anthropic (AI screening). These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy policies.
• We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Data Retention

• Account data is retained while your account is active
• Candidate applications are retained for talent pool matching (with consent)
• You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your data
• Withdraw consent for SMS messages or talent pool inclusion
• Revoke Google Calendar access at any time
